News From the Washington State Beef Commission
Starting January 1st, 2025, the Washington Beef Checkoff assessment, which is collected every time a bovine changes ownership, will be increasing from $2.00 to $2.50. Two dollars will be retained in Washington State to conduct local beef promotion, research, and consumer education and fifty cents will be sent to the Cattlemen’s Beef Board to fund nationwide programs locally, nationally, and around the globe.
